Eli Rohe was the builder on this project that was mostly a major structural upgrade to a garage that was tilting. In addition, we replaced the carriage doors, added a dutch door on the side and a window to the garden, insulated, and finished it off a bit nicer than the typical garage.

You’ve seen this project before. Funky old house with a pretty thorough retuning and a small addition at the back. I am very pleased with how it turned out.
Garage with two sets of doors

I thought I’d shared a couple more photos of a recent remodel project. This Berkeley house was built with no way to get to the backyard except through the house or from the neighbor’s driveway. We decided to add a pair of dutch carriage doors on the back side of the garage so that there would be a direct connection from front yard & driveway to back. The owners will probably use the garage as a room, rather than a garage, but the design allows for a variety of interpretations (In this mild climate we don’t really need heat to make a room into living space 3/4 of the year or more) The existing concrete slab was polished smooth and shiny for a practical upgrade.

Filters for MR16 LED Track Lights

I’ve finally made it back to this Point Richmond project to add some filters and adjust the track lighting. MUCH better now. I don’t think the owner was using the LED MR16 track fixtures much the way they were. Now he is in good shape.
