LUC Luc, Karl, & Seamus were busy installing windows today. I noticed that the diningroom picture window has a particularly nice view of a distant hill covered in houses, framed by simple buildings in the foreground

I found this photo on the cabinetmaker’s website. It shows off their figured ash cabinets, and also the shimmery tile design by the client and myself.

I am excited to see this backyard studio take shape. Happy to have a skillful framer and a pile of kiln dried FSC certified lumber.  I stopped by just in time to help lift that big beam into place. A challenging job for a solo framer.

Thanks to Nancy Kalter-Dills for the video!

My Rockridge project is getting finishing touches slowly but surely. These are just quick snapshots of things I am excited about.

Handrail still needs to be finished, but today the artist made sure everything fits before taking it to the sand blaster. More photos soon.

And a beautiful old Chevy on site at my Rose Street addition and kitchen remodel in Berkeley. Behind the blue truck you can see new red cedar shingles going up.

Photo Pro Visits My House

This is a cozy little space with a great view in 4 directions. It perfectly exemplifies the concept of “prospect and refuge”, which might be a big part of why it is such a great place to live. Thanks to Rona Lee  (rona-lee.com)
